There are times when I think the colours of some patterns papers are not going to work with my photos! Pull out them hard to use colours and you will be surprised. I had huge technical issues so the Sunday Sketch is just a few days late. This one page multi photo sketch might be a challenge for anyone who does not like whitespace. This sketch features relatively small photos, and is designed to resemble an "L" shape. The photo sizes are one 3 1/2 x 5" photo and three 2 x 3 photos. Try this sketch as is, or try mixing it up by changing the large photo to 2 smaller photos, or creating round or square photos. You can also try turning the entire sketch so that the "L" runs across the top of your page and down the left side. Have fun with this sketch and we would love to see your interpretations in the POTP gallery.

I created a page for a wedding guest book with a little piece of advice we received when we got married 9 years ago.
Here's this week's sketch for all you who are looking for a little Sunday inspiration! The layout I completed that was inspired by this sketch only took me an hour, from start (picking out photos) to finish! I just love it when things come together this quickly! I hope it starts your creative juices flowing too!
I am not a sketch-maker - I have trouble imagining a layout without having the actual papers and embellishments - I need to have it all in front of me to decide what goes where.
But, I do love sketches! They give me inspiration and always a starting point. Although I usually never use a whole sketch - I pick my favorites and move along from there.
Sometimes when I am stuck in a creative rut however- I go through my albums and find an old favorite layout. Like this one - very simple - but I like it.
I like the colours and I like the layering. I like the title/journaling that goes all around the picture.
So, I create my own little sketch from one of my own layouts - like here:
(I did not add the actual photograph, I could use one large picture or even a bunch of little ones in the middle.)
Maybe you have some hidden treasures in your album too - go dig 'em out and be inspired by your own creativity!
